DOM's Electrical Division is actively involved in Generation, Transmission and Distribution projects.

Dom also supplies high to low voltage electrical equipment to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysian Railways (KTMB), other Government Agencies and the private sectors.

Power Generation

Dom Industries is also engaged in power generation projects like:

  • Rehabilitation of hydro power plants
  • Supply and installation of turbine spare parts
  • Supervisory infrastructure and equipment for power stations.

Electrical Division

Projects carried out by DOM's Electrical Division covers:

  • Supply and Installation of power and distribution transformers
  • Supply and installation of transmission and distribution switchgear
  • Repair, Servicing and Filteration of transformers
  • Retrofitting of various types of oil circuit breakers to vacuum or SF6 type with minimum downtime and cost

275kV, 132kV, 33kV sub stations equipment, erection, supply of cable jointing materials, cable laying and jointing of 132kV oil filled cables, 33kV and 11kV XLPE cable. Dom has engaged foreign experts to carry out jointing works on 175/132kV oil filled cables and XLPE cables.

Lightning & Surge Protection

Deal with the expert for the protection of buildings and structures against direct lightning strikes and its effects on structures and people. Products comprise of patented air terminals, screened down conductors , earth enhancing compounds, lighting warning systems and other conventional protection techniques.

We also provide surge arrestors to protect electronic systems from both direct and indirect effects of lightning. Products include Surge Reduction Filters to 1600 amps per phase, Surge Diverters to over 135kA impulse rating with integral status indication and translent protectors for LANs communications data control and signalling. Innovative instrumentation, products for earth impedance and power quality analysis measurements are also available. Any signal can be protected using our range of products.
